Hi farmers! There comes a time every four years where the world comes together to remember the glorious World Cup of 1966 and the fantastic performance from the winners that year. Or perhaps that’s just one place… But here we are to celebrate in Big Farm style. So whether you’re football mad or more of a lawn technician, join us for World Cup Fever! To start the event just look for our lovely Tessa defending the goal and click to open up the dialog. The first page is the main hub for the event and where you can see the three types of things you can collect, more on those later. But first, you may have noticed some football fields growing on my farm. Let’s take a look. There’s an all-new seed type to this event, grass that will grow on your fields to look like little football pitches. Click the seed button and then on the football tab to find the stadium turf. There’s a regular bag, a premium Express bag with a short grow time and a premium efficiency bag with a longer grow time for when you want to call it a day and come back to a farm full of football fever. Select the one you want and click the plant button to add it to your field. We’re gonna speed things up a little here. Then when it’s finished growing, collect it like any other crop along with your coaching kit. Ah, and we got a reward too! Now, let’s see what was in the coaching kit. Besides the grass in our inventory, we collected a coaching kit with three things in it: Whistles which can be donated to support real teams, footballs which earn you hard work rewards and finally trophies which give you points in the ranking table. On the next screen are the teams taking part in the tournament and where you can donate your whistles. Just click on the numbered tabs to see all the teams and the rewards you’ll receive for your [NOTE: Points can only be gained when teams score goals, not win games!]
donations when the teams score goals and win games. To donate just click on the green button below the team you want to donate to, then use the slider or type in a number and click donate. See we’ve donated 1,000 whistles to the hosts so far. On the left side of each teams’ box is the total number of goals they have scored, updated after real games have finished. Next to that is the number of rewards you will receive for your donation when the team scores. Lower numbers here usually means the team has a high chance of winning the match, but you get less for your donation. Next is the performance page. Along with collecting coaching kits, harvesting turf will add to your booster score. This shows the boost percentage and the more you collect the more of the field is filled. You add 1% each time you fill the bar, which shows how many more to collect for the next percentage point, or you can skip to get a quick advantage. The higher the booster the more coaching kits you will collect each time you harvest, so now we’ll get even more rewards. The ranking page shows your current score and how you match up, the ranking rewards the winners will receive and the hard work rewards for collecting the footballs. You’ve seen most of the event, so onto the rewards! First we have this great new appearance for the main house on the first farm for ranks 1 to 50. Next up, a triple decoration! You can earn one piece for being in the top 25, another in the top 75 and finally the last one in the top 100. The top 3 will win this champion’s butterfly decoration and the exclusive prize for the top 1 on the server is the champion fountain. You can also get the new bush decorations from the hard work rewards, but that’s just the server rewards! On top of that, we are counting your global scores. The top 1,000 players worldwide will receive this super exclusive decoration that you can’t get anywhere else. The coveted golden pig trophy isn’t all though. The top five will win some GGS goodies sent directly from the team to you and the number one worldwide player will receive a mystery reward… So join us for an exciting World Cup, and remember, even if your team isn’t in the competition you can still win some great prizes and at least support the rivals of your rivals. Good luck! On your head squeak!
