Male Coughing ….
Sometimes kindness never cost you anything. All you need is to have a good heart which
can understand the feelings of unsaid signals for those who are in need of help. This particular story has revived our belief
on humanity which needs no boundaries, language or limits. This story belongs to Brazil where employees
at a bus terminal took an initiative to provide a safe place to stray dogs from cold weather
at the terminal. But they had not enough resource to comfort
the animals. This venture would have need electric heaters,
cozy bedding, and some food to feed the homeless dogs. But they never stopped their mission because
of scarce means. So they thought to use the bus old tiers as
beds and coverlets as blankets for dogs to keep them warm. Dogs from the nearby area of Curitiba central
bus station now visits this place frequently. This story became internet sensation a while
ago when an official from that area Fabiane Rosa share the story on her official Facebook
page. She proudly commented on the internet about
that she saw three dogs at the bus station. And they were provided comfort from the employees
of the bus station. When she investigated more about the founder
of this mission she came to know that three people named Zoinho, Max, and Pitoco are the
most active members of this mission. And they started it without any help from
any rescue company. And she envies those guys so much as they
are role model to our society. We highly appreciate such acts of kindness
for the animals. Because little acts of sympathy can improve
our world without much effort. Do share this story to let your friends know
about this story.
-Welcome back to the show. We didn’t really even have to
compete this time on our show ’cause we did our dance
challenge kind of together. Here’s us from the bit
that we just did. -Yeah, we decided that
we’re better together. [ Laughter ]
-We are better together. And it was fantastic. Are you — have you been
playing any flip cup? -No.
[ Laughter ] -I don’t like bringing it up. The only reason was because, you
know, it wasn’t that fun for me. But whatever.
-But it was great for me. You know, I am sad to say, I think people
are actually scared to play me. Everyone saw me play you,
and they were like, “Oh.” They’re scurred.
-They’re a little scurred? -Yeah, I think — I think
I’m just kind of the champion. [ Laughter ] -That’s ridiculous. -At least
that’s what I like to think. -But you’ve never played
flip cup before you played me, and you just — -Yeah, I’m like
a one-hit wonder. [ Laughter ] -But I couldn’t even believe it
because you were like — Backstage, you’re like,
“Yeah, I never played before, but, sure, I’ll play.
It’ll be fun.” And then, I’m like, “Okay.”
And you just went… And I was like,
“Are you kidding me?” -But we’ve always been better
together, because then I helped you finish your flip cup ’cause you couldn’t
get very far down. [ Audience “Oohs” ] -This is insane.
I mean — -I’m here for you.
-Thank you, yeah. And I’m here for you, too.
-Your next flip cup competition, just call me in,
I’ll be your backup. -Okay, I will.
We’ll be partners. -Exactly.
-‘Cause I also heard you’re good at “Mario Kart.”
-Yes. Well, I used to be very good
at “Mario Kart,” but I haven’t played in a while. -Well, I mean, but what do
you mean you used to be? I mean, I used to be good
at flip cup, you know? I still play the ga–
I still play the game, you know? But I mean, like, next time. Which Mario Kart is yours?
Which one do you play? -Princess Peach is my favorite,
’cause I think she has the best balanced kart,
and, also, she’s very fast. [ Laughter ] And she’s kind of sassy
on the road. -Oh, my gosh!
She’s not sassy. What are you talking about?
She’s not sassy at all. Sassy…
-Whose your person? -Oh, Bowser.
-Really? He’s kind of a jerk. [ Laughter ] -See, I think you’re judging him
by his looks. [ Laughter ] He looks like a mean —
Well, he actually is mean. He steals the Princess
and kidnaps her sometimes. Yeah, so he is kind of a jerk. -We wouldn’t like each other
on “Mario Kart.” -Oh, wow,
this is gonna be a really — But I think Bowser
does like Princess Peach. -Oh, right.
Okay. It’s just me
that doesn’t like you. [ Laughter ] All right, it’s one-sided.
-Hey, I wanted to — I wanted to ask you something,
because your husband, Justin Verlander, who is an
amazing pitcher, love that guy. He’s been on the show
a bunch of times. You love —
[ Laughter ] I mean, yeah,
but I loved him before you. [ Laughter ] -You get competitive
about loving him. [ Laughter ]
-Yeah! He’s your husband,
but he loves me! No, we asked him to do us a
favor because we had a game called “Drop It In” that we’ve
done with a bunch of athletes, and what we do is, we make up
all these silly sayings and see if they can drop it
into interviews. -Yeah.
-And then, if they look at the list and they go like,
“Oh, yeah. Maybe I’ll drop it in.”
And the interviewer doesn’t know why they’re saying
any of this stuff. So we asked him to help us out,
and he did. I just want to show a clip of —
here’s your husband. -You’ve got the supermodel wife.
What’s the secret? You gotta tell the youngster
how to do it. -Man, there’s no secret. You know, I recently watched
the movie “Fever Pitch.” It still holds up.
[ Ding! ] So, I mean,
love, baseball, all that. -My movie, “Fever Pitch.”
-Yeah. -That’s right.
He’s right. [ Applause ] -Honestly, it really does
still hold up. Because I really relate
to Drew Barrymore’s character. You know, every time she gets
so mad because she’d have to look at the Red Sox schedule
before planning, like, a wedding or going to Paris.
That’s what I have to do. I’m constantly looking at the
Astros schedule, and sometimes, even when you look at it,
you get it wrong like I did
and almost missed my wedding. [ Laughter ]
It’s tricky. -That is true.
That’s right. I forgot about that. So, you actually —
your real life is “Fever Pitch.” -Yeah, if you make a sequel,
you want to, you know, get some stories, call me up.
[ Laughter ] -Yeah, I’m going to. I want to you about —
talk about Strong4Me. Explain how you got involved
with this and what it is. -Yeah, well, I partnered up
with my trainer, Ben Bruno, and he wrote this great
12-week program that’s 30-minute workouts
that you can do anywhere. Because,
especially as a new mom, it’s so hard to find time
to work out and stay fit. And Ben and I wanted to make it
convenient for everyone, anywhere,
because it’s so important. -And you actually told me
that your dog, Harley, is your workout partner? -Yes, Harley is, for sure,
my favorite workout buddy. -Now, what does Harley do — You brought —
You brought some videotape here, just some footage of you
and Harley working out. Now what does —
[ Laughter ] Now what does he really do? [ Laughter ] -He clearly takes
working out very seriously. He is —
-So, he waits for his turn? Or what does he do?
-Yeah. -What was he doing there? -He’s just, like, glaring at
Ben, who took that video. I mean, apparently,
he doesn’t like any social media at the gym.
[ Laughter ] -He’s like, “Don’t post this.”
[ Laughter ] -He’s like,
“I don’t look my best.” [ Laughter ] -But, do you —
#ShareStrong is something that you started
on Instagram recently. -Yes.
-And I saw bunch of my friends doing it, too,
and just basically saying what inspires them.
-Yeah, so I wanted — We’re bombarded every single day with so much fakeness
and so much B.S. that, you know, with retouching
and filters and comparing ourselves
to other people’s fake self, and I wanted us to take a second and remember to love
our true, raw self. And it’s just so important,
you know, with all this fakeness going on,
to remember who or what continues to motivate us to be
our best, strongest self. -Yeah.
[ Cheers and applause ] Good for you. -And it —
It’s so great in this community with this hashtag. Now you can scroll through
and see all these people sharing these awesome,
inspiring stories, so when
we’re not feeling our best, you can go through
and read these stories, and we can continue motivating and spreading
this amazing positivity. -Yeah, if you have a story —
[ Applause ] If you have a story,
post it in #ShareStrong. And it will make other people
very, very happy. -Especially me.
-Yeah. Kate Upton, everybody.

Do you guys want to know the answer to a crazy question? How do Samoyeds react to ice and snow? And a bonus tip… Up next, on Yeti’s Place. On this channel we talk about what excites and energizes Yeti, by
posting videos just like this one. So if you’re new here, please consider
subscribing, hit the notification bell and check
out the links down below. New content is released every Monday and Thursday. Let’s get started! So for those of you guys who saw the latest “Star Wars: The last Jedi,”
you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. Icicles and dogs. So one morning, we had a crazy ice storm that blew through. Yeti,
went on his early-morning walk with his dad. Came back home… Well, that morning, I discovered an unusual sound that I’ve never heard before. It sounded a lot
like ice rattling. What in the world is that noise? And Yeti was racing toward me of course. He rounded the corner and I saw this dog that was just covered in
icicles. Like the whole dog was covered in icicles. And that sound that I heard
that clinking sound, going on, that was Yeti and the icicles, that were clinging
together. Never heard anything like that from my dog and it just kind of made me
laugh because it reminded me of those Ice Dogs in “Star Wars.”
Samoyeds love ice and snow. Ice and snow are great places for a Sammy. In fact,
when we owned Chewy, Chewy would go out in the snow….
You okay??… would lay in the snowbank and pant.
He was so warm, loved it and he would lay on his back and he’d stretch out in the
snow. Yeti likes the snow too, but it doesn’t seem to bother him as much, or
get him as excited as it did Chewy. Now when I was growing up we owned an
American Eskimo. His name was Muppet and Muppet was like a miniature Yeti. Muppet
loved the ice and snow. He would go outside in it and he would take snow
baths. He would roll around in the snow. Like just
bury his entire body in the snow and get a snow bath. Loved it! The Samoyeds
that we’ve, we’ve had aren’t quite as in love with the snow it as Muppet was.
They just think that, ehhh… ok, this is regular Wisconsin winter. I’m used to this. I’m
built for this. I’m, I’m a cold weather dog. During Wisconsin’s second coldest
winter ever recorded, our late Samoyed, Chewy, would lay down in the snow bank
and it was, like 25 below zero, before the windchill. Chewy would lay there in the
snow bank and pant, profusely pant. He was so warm. Samoyeds encourage
their owners to enjoy winter exercise, by dragging them outside and getting them
on dog sleds, trying to bring them outside in the, in the cold weather.
Walking them for miles outside, in the brutal Wisconsin cold. Yeti loves the
Wisconsin cold. Don’t you sweetie. Yeah you do.
Bonus tip… If Samoyeds get wet and dirty and snowy… Once dry, all that dirt, just
kind of brushes away. It’s amazing! These coats are weather repellent….. not
waterproof… but once dry everything just brushes off. So they stay in
this brilliant white color all the time. Well thank you so much you guys for
staying tuned, all the way through Yeti’s Place. This guy right here, he’s Yeti the
Samoyed and I’m Yeti’s Mom and thank you very much
So for a smaller breed dog, I would fill the
syringe to for 1/2 tablespoon. You would open the dogs mouth, open towards the cheek and
insert it in and then you can give them the cough syrup. Probably talk to your veterinarian
about how frequently you should give the cough syryup and most veterinarian’s do recommend
giving cough syrup for severe coughing. If your dog is continuing to cough and is getting
lethargic, then you might want to put the dog on antibiotics. Again, this is something
that your vet is going to determine but it is not uncommon to put your dogs on course
of antibiotics to make sure that it doesn’t become more serious infection. If yhou find
that your dog is very lethargic and breathing very shallowly, then you want to bring them
to the veterinarian specialist. They are probably going to take lung x-rays and test with oxygen
levels. If the dog is trying to avoid coughing when coughing becomes very uncomfortable,
the dog can start to avoid coughing by taking shallow breaths and the more shallow breath
they take, the less oxygen is coming in and it will actually reduce the level of blood
oxygen in their body. So if the case becomes very extreme, the dog might need some medical
attention. They might need to have oxygen placed inter nasally. They might need to be
on IV-fluids. A kennel cough can be something that is fairly mild and dogs get over in a
day or two and it can be something that will cause your dog to wind up in the hospital
for a couple of days and we just talked about a couple of things to do to help care for
Someone call the wambulance (watch until the end to find out why) dog keeps coughing I hear ya.. Has been coughing for two months People tell me that the dog’s going to die soon Is it the whooping cough? There’s nothing wrong with the dog (My whole life has been a lie) This is really.. Be humble, sit down I should get him into acting Should Kritter Klub start a dog drama?
Let’s talk about treating a dog with a cold.
Cold is a very non specific term. And humans, we think of colds as being anything from the
flu to just upper respiratory viruses alone, and in essentially it’s the same with a dog.
If you’re dealing with a cold, what we have in a dog is going to be generally an upper
respiratory infection, a lower respiratory infection, something like that. Just feeling
kind of bad. A lot of these in dogs are viral and/or bacterial. And so the first thing to
do is to identify if your dog is sick and we’ve talked about looking at your dog as
far as lethargy is concerned, not eating very well, sneezing, coughing, anything like that
would indicate that your pet needs to go to your veterinary office so they can diagnose
your pet with a cold. As far as treating a pet with a cold, we commonly use antihistamines,
we commonly use antibiotics since a lot of these things can become infections. And generally
the other thing on pets, especially dogs, is supportive care because a lot of animals
when they have a cold or any kind of illness are not feeling very well. They’re going to
be off of their food or water. So good supportive care at home is the best thing you can do.
What do you do if you fear that your dog has
come down with kennel cough? A
common sign of kennel cough is a hacking cough that your dog would exhibit. It sounds almost
like they are trying to clear their throat. A mild case you will have some hacking, throat
clearing action from the dog. You might have a slightly high temperature and you might
have a little bit of lethargy. If the case of kennel cough is more severe, the dog might
actually hack up phlegm. As it is coughing, it is hacking up phlegm. More serious cases
can result in hospitalization for the dog. So how do you manage this? What do you do?
If your dog is coughing and the cough is persistent and it is especially worse at night, one thing
you can do is give your dog cough syrup. So how do you give your dog cough syrup? You can different size syringes; this one
here goes up to 1/2 tablespoon.
