Kombucha Health Benefits

hey guys welcome back to another video
if you’re new here my name is Liz and my channel is about kombucha so today’s
video I’m excited to do because it has been my most requested video it was the
first video requested and I’ve gotten the most requests about it so let’s go
ahead and get into it and it’s about the benefits of drinking kombucha so before
I get into the meat and potatoes of the video I have to ask you guys about
another video idea I had so I don’t know about you guys but I’m a big Game of
Thrones fan especially the books however the 8th season is coming out in about 4
weeks and it just so happens I was at the local farmers market and I ran into
Cersei Lannister I know like how crazy is that
so I saw her she was buying some artisan wines you know how she is and I was like
you know what I’m gonna go say hi and we got to talking and she really isn’t too
bad so I was like maybe I should invite her over for some kombucha what do you guys think
would you like to see a video with me and Cersei Lannister throwing back some
kombucha let me know in the comments down below so the reason I’ve been
putting this video off is because I don’t drink kombucha for the health
benefits I drink it because I like the way it tastes and it gives me some
mental clarity and gives my gives me energy so I guess in a way I do drink it
for the health benefits but the reason I’ve been putting this video off is
because I feel like any research paper that you find on anything that supports
your beliefs or what you’re claiming you can find more research papers debunking
that claim right so that’s why I was hesitant to do this but I did find some
good research papers and I will link them all down below for you to look at
if you’re into that sciencey kind of stuff the other thing is I was like wow
I really haven’t been given kombucha the credit it deserves it really is an
amazing drink yes it tastes good makes you feel good totally fun to make but
there are a lot of great health benefits so let’s go ahead and get into it so
first I’m going to give you the top 10 that I thought were the we’re the
coolest coolest health benefits and then after I list those I’m going to get into
why and how that that is so and have my notes here
totally prepared for you today mood enhancer and I can totally feel that
health benefit and that’s because of the B vitamins and it could be because it
has a very low alcohol content I don’t know about you but sometimes when I
drink kombucha I get this like warm fuzzy feeling in my belly and my feet
feel heavy does anyone else get that the second is mental clarity and that could
be from the probiotics the kombucha has anti-inflammatory properties and also
because of the B vitamins in one of the research papers I read I believe I
counted five or six different B vitamins and the B vitamins are from the yeast so
you know those pieces of brownies that fall to the bottom of the jar B vitamins
right there baby say that three times fast number three it
aids in digestion and that is from the different acids in kombucha and also
again the probiotics one of the research papers showed that it can improve your
sleep and that’s due to actually probably some of the probiotics but also
because of the different acids located in kombucha and I’ll get into that later
but there is like a ton of different acids which are good it prevents
cardiovascular disease and that’s due to the polyphenyl content six it can
prevent certain types of cancer like pancreatic skin excuse me pancreatic
cancer and that’s due to the different acids in the kombucha and also the
high abundance of antioxidants it can help prevent high blood pressure
that’s because kombucha promotes smooth muscle relaxation and that could also be
why it helps you sleep eight enhances liver function there is this
abbreviation boom which stands for boom boom it’s a main component in kombucha and it
plays a role in detoxing the liver 9 prevents kidney disease and that again
is from this guy right here now I’m not even gonna try to pronounce it 10 which i think is
totally cool and that is prevents premature aging that’s due to high anti
oxidants the probiotics and the different acids located in kombucha so
how is kombucha so healthy like this well first it contains tea and everyone
knows that tea is high and things like antioxidants polyphenols and flavonoids
through the fermentation process you’re not only enhancing all those properties
to make them even better but they become more bioavailable bioavailable means
that your body absorbs it better so it’s better than drinking a cup of black tea
or better than drinking a cup of green tea a list of all the things come which
it contains now just a heads up that it’s going to depend on the culture so
different cultures of kombucha so yours may or may not have this or a more have
excuse me it may have more of these items but when the researchers researchers did
their test sampling they tested different strains of kombucha kombucha
contains vitamins B and C there was a think six different B vitamins that one
of the research papers showed me minerals such as sodium potassium and
magnesium here we go organic acids such as acetic gluconic
glucuronic, citric l-latic, malic, tartaric, malonic that sounds
neat a while this one this one oh that one sounds neat this one and that one
that’s a lot amino acids and enzymes and the very popular probiotics and some
prebiotics depending on which cultures you have so when you have probiotics you
want prebiotics which kind of feeds them in the beginning or something like that
in addition kombucha can act as a health prophylactic and recovery so
prophylactic means that it can prevent disease this is due to its four main
properties detoxification antioxidants energizing potencies and promotion of
depressed immunity wow isn’t that amazing this drink that just tastes so
good can provide all those different health benefits I’ll drink to that
and let’s also include mr. Scooby because he’s pretty important so you can
actually consume the scoby and I have a video
coming up of how to make Scobie candy but here’s some information on the scoby
it’s 18% protein that’s most of it’s from the yeast and bacteria 12% fiber
from the cellulose so that’s what the actual Scobie is the rubbery film
biofilm or pellicule helps you poop fiber does actually it’s supposed to help you poop 0.5 percent phosphorous I know I didn’t say that right that plays a role
in how the body uses carbs in fat it’s needed for the body to make protein for
growth maintenance and repair of cell and tissue and it works with the B
vitamins awesome and it’s 0.7% calcium and the rest is water so be on the
lookout for that video coming out soon that concludes this video thanks for

    Who wants to see a video of me and Queen Cersei Lannister chilling drinking some kombucha? What health benefits have you personally experienced by drinking kombucha? I think the biggest for me is mental clarity & energy. My brother said it got rid of a cold once for him.
