6 Amazing Herbs That Lower Blood Sugar Naturally

August 25, 2019

When we say that someone has high blood sugar
levels, we immediately think that they have diabetes. This condition, known as hyperglycemia, is
not unique to diabetics. Anyone can feel the effects of too much sugar
in their blood, especially after a large meal or a large amount of sugar. The increased level of blood sugar is considered
normal if it’s temporary, but if blood glucose levels remain high for many hours, it’s
usually indicative of the development of diabetes. These days, many people eat much higher amounts
of processed and artificial foods. This negative change in eating habits is leading
directly to a higher incidence of people with high blood sugar throughout the world. So how can you prevent the same from happening
to you? Get to know 6 natural plants that can help
control blood sugar levels: 1. Guava leaf
Guava leaves are able to lower blood sugar. Studies in Japan suggest that this leaf may
also help lower cholesterol levels, but more tests are needed to prove this efficacy. 2. The Insulin plant
You might not have known this, but there’s a plant considered effective for treating
diabetes, and it’s called the insulin plant. The leaves are also used for the treatment
of rheumatism, abscesses, and as an activator of blood circulation. In addition to controlling blood sugar levels,
this plant has diuretic, antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-cancer properties. 3. Blackberry leaf
Being rich in fiber and packed with antioxidants, the blackberry leaf, if consumed regularly
in tea, can help control diabetes and high blood sugar levels. 4. Bitter Melon
This melon has an extremely bitter taste, and its shape resembles an “uneven” cucumber. In addition to controlling diabetes, it cleanses
the liver and protects against cancer. 5. Okra
According to studies conducted by Brazilian universities, in partnership with agronomic
institutes, okra has the power to reduce cholesterol considerably, and still control blood sugar
levels. Another Chinese study has shown, that consumption
of okra promotes improvement in kidney function. A good way to get the benefits of okra is
by soaking some okra in water and then drinking it. All that needs to be done is to cut the ends
of four okra and then dip them in a glass of water overnight. The next morning, drink the water. 6. Blueberry
Can you believe that this tasty fruit can be beneficial when it comes to lowering blood
sugar? According to a study conducted at the University
of Michigan, rats fed on blueberries became much healthier, starting with a reduction
of cholesterol and triglycerides. Of course, their sugar levels were also greatly
reduced. And the most interesting thing about it, is
that they even lost body fat. Science says that the fruit’s power lies in
the phytochemical content of blueberries, which is precisely what gives it the blue
color.

I really liked this video. Also blueberry leaves as well. I bought some of the blueberry leaf tea for my mom years back. The flavor is mild and nice. I also keep bitter melon tea at home.

How can we find and use the insulin plant?
